  3. Nice mate. Overall a good design. You can make it stronger if you keep in mind how it moves and how the joints work as you design the robot. How does he turn it's neck? Would it have room to move it's arms if the shoulder pads are fixed in one place? How can you communicate the way the joints move clearer - would a ball-and-socket join communicate a rotatable shoulder, or a hinge to show how the elbows move?
Also try avoid using the dark black shadows. It can flatten the form of your image. Shadows are not always completely without light. You get bounce light from all around you to lighten and add colour to the shadows. Since the background is really red, I would prob add some redness in the shadow areas as reflected light.

  4. Hey Ben thanks for the critique. When I started it I was just thinking about the silhouette. Then I just thought I could had some details. And after a while it was like this. I think you're absolutely right about the dark areas. Although I wanted to keep it dark I should have given it some kind of redish bounced light to make the form stand out a bit more. I'm going to do more of these because it was really fun and quick to do. Thanks for commenting :)
