Back to copying from photos. There's two things that I really work on when I do these. First is my sense of values. And after that is my ability to match colours. On these two things (among others) I'm really simple. I have to keep doing these for a while. A third thing I want to get better is the attention to the details, but be honest I'm still really slow. It took me about a hour and a half for each of these.

  1. Luis... dont forget about those edges! :P The colours are looking quite muddy too. Be decisive about the overall general colour of the shape u r painting and simplify it to that essentials, the general mood. So if the hills generally feel like a blueish green thats dull then try not to stray away from that too much. Adding other colours might distract from it (your greys in the mountains are too red and too far from the green tones over the whole hill)
